Meet Bridget

It is a great honor to serve my neighbors in East Greenwich, North Kingstown, and South Kingstown in the Rhode Island Senate.

I live in North Kingstown with my husband, Will, my sons, Oscar (9) and Elliot (7), and our little pug Dolly.

As Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services and a member of the Committee on Environment & Agriculture, I work to expand access to health care services and lower costs for patients. I collaborate with leading environmental experts to craft legislation that will help all Rhode Islanders enjoy a future that is clean, waste-free and powered by renewable energy.

My professional background is in the nonprofit sector. I have worked with national organizations expanding access to health care; with food banks helping make sure that children, families, and seniors have enough to eat; and with animal welfare organizations to stop cruel and inhumane treatment.

These days, when I am not doing Senate business, you can find me substitute teaching in the North Kingstown Schools — a job that has confirmed for me firsthand that our teachers are amazing and need more support!

I love our beautiful state, and I am determined to help make it a happier, healthier, more equitable place to live.
